I spent a lot of time on diablo II but it was so many years ago I don't know if I could like it now, I tried some diablo-like (PoE, Torchlight.) but it's not really what I want. and so many others (even more if you list consoles games too, I started gaming in 1994 and had every consoles until the ps3/360)Īlso, i'm a huge fan of pokemon since 1998, but I played (a lot) to every single game of the serie I liked Dragon age origin/inquisition, Dark souls 1/2/3, Disgaea, Kingdom of amalur, Morrowind/Skyrim, FFXII/IZJS, NWN2, Dragon nest (but more for some friends I had on it), vindictus, Skyforge. I Love PSO2 and it runs without any problem on my computer, but I started it several years ago, got some maxed characters and all so yeah. What I prefer is exploration and customization I don't really care about fightning (i.e I can play an ARPG, SRPG, TRPG, whatever, but i'm not a huge fan of fps though) but when there's some fightning involved I prefer to play as a tank or controller/support, also i'm more swords than guns. It can be online (if you can play without any PvP, and if playing in a group is an option not a necessity) or not, and i'm whilling to invest quite some time and money in it if it's worth it. Preferably a RPG (i.e possibility to create and develop a character based on your choices, not those linear action game self-called RPG), but not necessarly. The 7-slot menu looks great and is super easy to navigate.I kind of stopped gaming for a bit, or at least getting news about recent games and whatnot, nowI'm searchin a PC game!įirst thing, one I could play with a controller or a mouse I hate kb, I done some games with kb+m and I still have my gamer kb but I won't do it again, ever. This works great for Embermage, where I never use anything but spells, but not sure how it would work for other classes.Īlso, I see no reason to have two different touch menus. The reason I map everything to hotkeys, instead of mouse clicks, is how Torchlight 2 doesn't let you bind a skill to right-click (only to SHIFT+right click). It is easy to hit Y&B in the middle of battle for a quick heal as well. Because I don't want to move my thumbs while fighting, the triggers and bumpers activate skills (my main issue with your config is no way to active hotkey skills). While I could understand using the analogue stick for movement, using the left pad feels so natural that I could swear that Torchlight 2 was designed for it. My thought process: I find that my thumbs naturally rest over the two pads, so I wanted the majority of my controls to center around them. Select - Brings up both Inventory and Pet InventoryĪnalog stick acts as a directional pad for Map control, switching weapon, and a few other things I am not remembering off the top of my head. Mode-shift (when right pad is pressed) - Touch menu with Quests, Inventory, Pet Inventory, Character, Skills, Character+Skills (For easy access when you get a level-up), and TPĪ - Left click (mostly for menu navigation)ī - Right click (mostly for menu navigation) Right Pad: Mouse control for menu navigation/picking up items, left-click when pressed. Left Pad: Mouse Region around character, Move pressed with Touchpad is touched So I've put about 15 hours into Torchlight 2 with the SC (Playing as Embermage). Linux users should change the tilde move mapping to something else and update the mapping. Tilde move doesn't work properly on SteamOS/Linux. Valve should really solve this problem though. I think you can change the Steam hotkeys to work around this. Holding right grip (shift) and pressing left bumper (tab) will open the Steam overlay. I got some ideas if people think this is important. I'm still pretty early in the game, so I haven't felt the need for this. Also useful in inventory for swapping items with your pet. This is very useful for combat, so you can hold in place and target with the stick. Left grip is a modifier for the controls mentioned above Right Bumper cycles through available spells Right Trigger is left click (for practically everything) Left Trigger is right click (for casting spells primarily) Holding left grip shifts to a scroll wheel camera zoom. Holding left grip shifts to a touch menu for accessing Pet, Arcane, and Character menus Touch menu for accessing Inventory, Skills, Quests So you can't see the touch menu stuff on the left pad. Two problems with the video: my mic audio is way too low, and the capture software is unable to grab any Steam overlays. I'll upload the VDF to the steam controller db site tonight. The mapping is called "Torchlight 2 with Stick Movement". I have now submitted a community mapping based on this concept. Last week I posted a short video showing how to play Torchlight 2 with analog stick movement on the Steam Controller.
